Things 2 do

READ

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. ˜

Books-What would this world be without them?

As an avid reader who has, what some may see as an odd habit- I tend to read 4 or 5 books all at the same time- I cannot comprehend people who say that they do not like to read or that they do not like books.

To me any such statement is synonymous with mental or intellectual stagnation. And if one is mentally or intellectually stagnant then, how can one be creative? As an entrepreneur where creativity is at times “closer than hands and feet, closer than breathing” a lack of creativity would be the death of a dream.

Books, both fiction and non-fiction have added dimension to my dreams of entrepreneurial success.

With the passage of time, I have discovered many priceless gems. For instance while reading Jack and Cornelia Addington’s The Perfect Power Within You I found out that my pursuit of successful entrepreneurship has much more to it than just financial success.

I found that successful entrepreneurship is first the re-programming of my success psychology.

This ‘psychology’ or outlook determines how I see my world and the impact of that world on my potential for success.

In other words do I believe that my success will always be thwarted by the negative unforeseen so I must put money away for those ‘rainy days’? Or do I put aside money for the investment opportunities that are right for me and which will appear at the right and perfect time?

Books come in really handy because given that I am not propped-up by inherited funds it means that any success that I gain will have to be earned. This means that every bit of help that I get along the way is appreciated. Books therefore become a singularly important source of aid.

My appreciation for books encompasses a wide range of topics. I enjoy reading books that teach me practical things such as solid SEO and other business strategies upon which to build my site. I also enjoy reading in equal measure books on health, cooking, history, anthropology metaphysics and so on.

To my delight, I have found that many wisdom-stories come just in time. They often save me the onerous task of having to deal with a novel situation without any guidelines.
