A Lack of money is the root of all evil.
George Bernard Shaw
Money Matters | Money Management | Credit Counseling

Money matters and this is no joke. Who ever said that “love may make the world go around but money pays for the trip” was insightful.
We no longer live in an agrarian society. We live in a highly sophisticated capitalist society. Here, everything has a price and money is the lifeblood of all our commercial and many of our non-commercial transactions.
As entrepreneurs that lifeblood is the basis of our pursuits. As such when we talk about being ‘successful‘ what we are alluding to is not an intra-personal ‘success’ as much as it is a dollar-amount. Yet many of us do not want money for money’s sake. We want money so that we can purchase those experiences and things that we have often dreamed of and which only the wealthy enjoy.
The pursuit of money is not exclusive to only entrepreneurs. Everyone, at least in the Western world, from the cradle to the grave has an ongoing relationship with money. And most of the time in the interim between birth and death ours is an everyday struggle to get money so we can spend it on the basics- i.e- The Bills.
Both entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs will like to have a ‘different’ relationship with money. The singular difference between the two groups is that while the latter may be resigned to their lot the former is motivated to change his relationship with money.
Entrepreneurs want more than just a ‘slave-like’ subservient relationship with money. We want to own, rule and control it. For many of us the opposite is the reality, money controls us.
Money has such a control over us that any slight deviation or monetary free-spiritedness from the basics may mean the difference between paying an important bill or living on macaroni and cheese until the next ‘slave’ installment.
Many people get their first credit card while in college but we are not given the money-management education that goes along with it. We are not taught how to use money or how to think of money in an intelligent way... that money and certain credit cards is a lever with which we can use to move our world.,
As such many of us find ourselves drowning in credit card debts. The writer of this article knows someone whose case is textbook. Not only did she get into the classic credit card debts but she took out two consolidated loans one after the other. The first to pay for the credit-card debts and the second to pay for the first consolidated loan.
