Ready to Grow | Outsourcing Tiring but Important Stuff

Ready, set, grow- Are you ready to grow your e-business by letting go of some of the day to day running of your operation? How do you know when is the right time to outsource?
When monies are tight we are forced to be well acquainted with every aspect of our business. This ‘acquaintance’, if prolonged, will eventually stunt and even kill the business. Yet outsourcing the right tasks at the wrong time or the wrong tasks at the wrong time has the same effect.
Ideally business owners must maintain a vision for their company. If the vision is not attended to on a regular basis it will atrophy and die. If it is impossible to pencil-in a certain amount of time weekly to strategize necessary steps that keeps the vision alive and help bring the business to a certain plateau, it is time to outsource.
If you are spending more time at those daily tasks which keep the business afloat but not those (tasks) that generate revenue then it is time to outsource.
The small business owner is usually a jack-off-all-trade and may find it difficult to decide which tasks to out source. The right tasks to outsource are those which take up lots of time but do not actually make money for the company. These may be e-mail answering, support services, linking campaigns, web site patching, article writing, and a legion of other tasks.
Given that each person has tasks and function which they excel at and those which they do not it makes more sense that everyone including the CEO to attend to those. If your strength lies in organizing, writing copy, accounting, public relation et cetera, then that is/ are the area/s of your business that is best to concentrate on.
Every part of the business, regardless to how seemingly inconsequential, is important to its overall success. When you have figured out what and when to outsource the next question is, to whom should you outsource?
Who you outsource to is very important but first another consideration. The cost for outsourcing services- need to be factored in. E-business that depend on e-goods downloads have a quicker return on investment (ROI) cycle than one, for example, that sells on a seasonal basis- like winter gears. The outsource budget must reflect the estimated time (X 2 ).
That is, if you sell e-books and the ROI is three weeks budget for six or more weeks. Things always cost twice as much money and takes twice as much time than we anticipate.
Always outsource with those companies whose skills, abilities and experiences are aligned with your needs and therefore do not need to be trained.
